Transcript for 10/18/24: THE CHILDREN’S HOUR W/ STEVE STOCKTON

As I was browsing through my Halloween Horror movie selections for the year, I have been noticing a great deal of films that are about toys and childhood objects becoming tools of the Devil. There are also a number of films that also address the issue of Imaginary friends and how they can be sinister poltergeists that are friendly in the beginning but then become aggressive and terrifying.

I was caught up into the idea of childhood horrors because they are still the very basis of adult fears as well. People have aversions to things like dolls and Clowns and it is peculiar how these things trigger memories of imaginary friends-- some nice and others not so nice.

I saw the film "Imaginary" which was a simply cliched story of a woman moving into her childhood home with her new family, Where her stepdaughter finds her old stuffed bear, only to learn that the imaginary friend she made from it is something far more malevolent.

There was a short lived TV show on ABC called "The Whispers" that was based on Ray Bradbury's short story called "Zero Hour." It was cancelled after one season, probably because of the subject matter. Th idea of a malevolent spirit becoming an imaginary friend convincing children to murder their parents is i am sure something that was unnerving to witness.

But to me the concept of our children being influenced by a malevolent force is all to real now that children are more in tune with ghosts in their machines as they find themselves glued to their phones and laptops.

A Parent's greatest fear is losing a child to the darkness -- and the demons certainly watch and wait for the moment a child loses its ability to connect--and so it turns to an imaginary friend that is neither a friend or imaginary.

I have certainly read many terrifying stories that involve children and their devotion to an imaginary friend that turns out to be a demon in disguise.

Most of the time, we don’t pay much attention to children’s wild imaginations, and we don’t think of them as anything more than ordinary harmless imaginings.

But I would suggest we pay attention to those imaginary friends and make sure that they are not abusing the child or sending it volent messages to harm themselves, animals and grown ups.

One of the most read and investigate stories of an imaginary friend gone horribly wrong is the story of "Kellum" and the American family he terrorized through a child.

A little three year old girl names Madison lived a happy life with her mother Kellie, and father in the family home in the American city of Macon. Until the fateful incident, she was an ordinary little girl who loved to play with dolls and blocks.

But one day, she informs her mother that she has found a new friend named “Kellum”. He is said to be a tall and bearded man with a black body. He often goes to her room and talks to her. At first, the mother is scared that some pedophile broke into the house.

But there is no sign of the break-in. That’s why the mother doesn’t pay any more attention to her daughter’s imagination, She thinks that perhaps Madison just found an imaginary friend, as little children sometimes do. But the girl changes a lot since she first speaks about this man.

She often locks herself in her room and her parents even hear her having strange conversations in the middle of the night. She is more angry, tired, and often gets angry. One day, Kellie catches her telling her imaginary boyfriend to go away and leave her alone.

Everything ends with horrific night when suddenly a little girl starts screaming in pain. Her parents immediately run into the nursery, where a terrified Madison screams for “Kellum” to let her go and leave her alone.

The room is strangely cold and the curtains on the windows even move on their own even though the windows are not open. The parents wait for nothing, grab their daughter, and run away from the house. The next day they decide to call the local pastor and tell him the whole story.

The priest is not too surprised and just tells the family that a ghost has most likely taken up residence in their house. With the help of an exorcism, they are said to finally be able to drive “Kellum” away and all paranormal activity will subside thereafter.

But little Madison’s mother became interested in who the ghost might belong to. She manages to find out that the house next door was previously owned by a man named Callum Beasley. He had a total of 5 children. The youngest of them, a girl named Madeline, died tragically at the age of 3.

Many of us believe that imaginary friends are just a rite of passage.

Especially for those children who are lonely or introverted, these imaginary pals offer the only source of friendship they have, getting them through tough times and always by their side no matter what happens.

But what if there is something more to it all? What if these imaginary friends are not so imaginary after all?

From Mysterious Universe there is an account of a Woman who recalls a seriously spooky story about her Imaginary friend Samantha.

This imaginary friend had begun to appear to her shortly after moving into a new house, and at first it just seemed like a child’s imagination until her mother began to see shadows flitting about and hearing strange noises around the house, and her father started complaining of having the profound sense of being watched or even followed. Despite this, Samantha always was friendly and played peacefully with her, that is until one day she started talking about burning the house down.

A woman from Sydney Australia claimed that her 10 year old son Oliver, who would often talk to an invisible girl he called “Clara” in the days after moving into a spacious new home. Like in many such cases she did not think much of it at first, but then things got a bit odd when her other son, a 6-year-old named Max, began asking why a place wasn’t set at the table for Clara, weird since the girl was his brother’s imaginary friend.

This sort of odd behavior became common for both of the boys, with them asking her to buy Clara new clothes or to sing for her at night, and the two kids were constantly having conversations with the imaginary girl.

Rachel the mother of the boys began talking with her husband about putting an end to it, as she was getting tired of all of this imaginary friend nonsense, and that was when things really launched into the bizarre

Rachel states:

"It’s like a switch was flipped. They were small, explainable things at first, like random blackouts and flashing lights. But then things started breaking. I kid you not, random objects fell off the counter and the computer keyboard started typing random letters. My exercise ball even started bouncing by itself. I also heard strange noises and saw black shadows. I honestly can’t explain it."

There are many more cases like this, and they all leave us wondering just what is going on. Of course it seems that what these children are experiencing are not merely the imaginary constructs of a fertile young mind, but rather the children making contact with ghosts or spirits that might normally be invisible to adults, and establishing communication with them. But why should this be? One very popular theory in the paranormal world is that children are typically more sensitive to these things than grown-ups, somehow more attuned to the spiritual world around them, which allows them to see beyond the veil that typically separates us.

Some believe that Children have latent psychic abilities and this is why many pick up on so called imaginary friends and some of them recall past lives.

Are these children’s young minds somehow tapped into some spiritual realm through means we have yet to understand, only to be shut off from it as they age? Are imaginary friends in some cases real entities that only they can see and form bonds with?

Nightmares are explainable but nightmares that become realities begin as tulpas and sometimes they manifest in our reality.

Many people can fondly recall the creation of an imaginary friend when they were younger. Imaginary friends are a global phenomenon, used as a source to combat loneliness, and as a means to encourage creative enterprises in children.

But what would you do if your imaginary friend suddenly became real? Would you try to destroy it? Or would you accept its unusual companionship?

While it is said that these imaginary friends are normal -- for a child, teenagers who keep company with these entities are certainly communing with what are called familiar or well known spirits -- that have names and agendas.

For example in the movie "The Exorcist" they young girls Regan starts up a relationship with a spirit off the Ouija Board named "Captain Howdy."

Around the time the film was made there were a rash of reports from young adults about their encounters with a demon familiar named Zozo -- or Zoso.

Zozo is a demon that many young adults have encountered during Ouija board sessions. This demon has been showing up in various places for at least 200 years.

Zozo carries the hour glass and knows past, present and future.

Zozo’ connection to Saturn – Saturn is known as the dark father of time and thus in a time when ZoZo appears time begins to become deceiving. The young feel that time slows down and the old feel that time is speeding by and during a Saturn return – you are told that your time is short.

Zozo is the demon that confuses time and is the nightmare maker in the dream world.

There was also a short period during the pandemic where people were visited by this demon to warn them that they will catch COVID-19 ad that time will slow down. People claimed that during the pandemic they would lose track of time and that an entity with a beard and black body would come to them and tell them that it was a product of the disease and that it will slip away.

Zozo is also the lord who controls the black eyed children who have been known to visit people's homes in the winter time begging to come in from the cold and have food.

Again this is another link to Saturn as the story goes that as the God Kronos -- Saturn ate his children.

Saturday of course is named after the god Saturn the dark lord of time – represented by the demonic angel or spirit named Zozo.

Zoso is the nickname for Led Zeppelin's fourth studio album, Led Zeppelin IV. The album's title is often attributed to Jimmy Page's rune Zoso, which is said to have been associated with Saturn in 1527.

Zoso again is represented as a hermit, tall man with a beard and dark body -- much like the young girl Madisons vision of "Kellum."

Zoso is said to unify the worlds of the living and the dead, and thus to reveal the secrets of the universe.

In the film, The Exorcist-- Zozo or Zoso is connected to te demon Pazuzu --the lord of pestilence and disease.

In the beginning of the film, Father Merrin finds a ruined statue of the demon during a dig in Iraq. This demon is a four-winged creature with the paws of a wildcat and a face of a dog. It is implied in the film that Father Merrin accidentally releases this demon and its influence is so great that it possesses a little girl while she is playing with an Ouija board. It is also ironic that in the movie, Exorcist III, a prisoner known as the “Gemini Killer” is also possessed by the demon, Pazuzu.

Pazuzu is an Assyrian name for the Sumerian King of the demons and was a prime example of the type of devil of which the Sumerians were particularly aware of, and was always depicted in their carvings and statues. In demonic iconography, Pazuzu’s influence was immense and omnipotent. The power of the great demon of the winds was influential and powerful. It was so powerful that there were many cults that were created to worship Pazuzu.

Although the ancient peoples of the world were conscious of an entity called the Devil or Satan, as evident in the Sumerian Creation Epic and the rumored existences of the Cult of Set of the Egyptians, Pazuzu was a demon that would spread pestilence and plague and was quite literally one form of evil to conquer another form of evil.

Pazuzu was also considered a harbinger of doom. If he is seen or if he is conjured, it unleashes an evil that will plague mankind like an uncontrollable virus.

What Zozo is to Pazuzu is what Lucifer is to Satan.

It is believed that 1 in 4 people who are Baby boomers or Gen Xers have had some sort of encounter with Zozo whether as a child or a teenager. Also those who experiment with LSD or DMT have had an encounter with this familiar spirit.

ZoZo and Pazuzu –and other dark entities in the pantheon are all connected to the sand of time and the dark lord Saturn – the god of judgement and destruction.

Saturn has been called the dark father of the forceful father of judgment and death. This “dark father’ was a mysterious entity that was always part of the teachings of Western mystery schools. The proxy of the dark king, his son, then becomes elected, and in the Saturn-gnosis, the planet and archetype of Saturnus the “king” is the focal point for the manifestation of “the Demiurge.”

This Demiurge is identified with Lucifer, the “Bearer of Light” or the “Illuminated One, and the higher octave of Saturn.

In the Saturnalian ritual, the “Judge” or the “Justice in Robes” represents Prometheus imparting the honor of light and fire as knowledge and with this illumination the governing over all things.

The Saturnalian king of the new age governs all standards of weights, measurements, and number. He is the Lord of the Seven Dwellings and governor of the revealed world and lord over life and death, and over the light and darkness. He is also entrusted with the ability to institute death, causing regeneration and change to come into being.

As the embodiment of the good king he becomes Saturnus, identified with the number 666. He is the Beast 666, manifest in the blood of Man 666, and in the Living Center of the Sun, Sorath the sun demon of the new dawn is also associated with 666.

ZoZo is the maker of nightmares and some manifest in the real world,

People think and dream in metaphor. A large proportion of our most commonplace thoughts make use of an extensive, but unconscious, system of metaphorical concepts, that is, concepts from a typically concrete realm of thought that are used to comprehend another. A lot of people may miss the fact that their unconscious mind registers metaphors all the time. Some are mystified when they see metaphors for what they are.

From childhood to adulthood these familiars attach themselves to you and it is said that some may make peace with it can call it a guardian angel but this is a tricky thing and blurs the lines between the adult time and the children’s hour.
