Bryce Zabel
Bryce Zabel is an American television producer, director, writer, and occasional actor. He was born on May 17, 1954. With hundreds of hours of produced film and television credits, Zabel has scripted a trio of mini-series which aired in the U.S. He also co-authored a book titled “AD: After Disclosure” with prominent UFOlogist Richard Dolan.
Zabel has worked on a dozen TV writing staffs and created or developed five primetime television drama series. His feature credits include “Mortal Kombat” and “Atlantis”. He has authored his own UFO book, “A.D. After Disclosure”. Zabel writes and edits the publication “Trail of the Saucers” which is read by more than 80,000 readers each month.
Zabel has received the Writers Guild of America (WGA) award for writing his third four-hour Hallmark mini-series, “Pandemic”. As an author, he has written a series of “what if” novels under the Breakpoint umbrella for Diversion Books. His debut novel, “Surrounded by Enemies: What if Kennedy Survived Dallas?” won the 2014 Sidewise Award for Alternate History.
Zabel has also been the elected chairman/CEO of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences from 2002 to 2003, the first writer in that position since Rod Serling. During his term, he was responsible for handling the post 9/11 Emmy awards, the negotiations that led to an unprecedented 250% license fee increase for the telecast, the move to the Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live, and the creation of the Interactive Media and Stunt Performers peer groups.
Zabel has also worked on a podcast called “Need to Know with Coulthart and Zabel” with Ross Coulthart, discussing Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) or UFOs.
