Dr. Darrell Y. Hamamoto
Dr. Darrell Y. Hamamoto is an American writer, academic, and specialist in U.S. media and ethnic studies. He was a scholar of Asian American media and professor for almost 23 years at the University of California, Davis before retiring in 2018. Hamamoto received his education at CSU Long Beach.
As a professor emeritus, he has written several books, including “Servitors of Empire: Studies in the Dark Side of Asian America” and is currently working on a book project titled “New World Order Theory For Students: Beyond Race, Class, and Gender”. He has also created a 50-minute pornographic film called Skin on Skin, which addresses the desexualization of the Asian American male.
Hamamoto has also been involved in various projects, including creating a show on YouTube titled Professor Hamamoto, where he appears each Thursday, and writing a book on murder and mayhem in US universities. He has a research and teaching interest in sexuality studies and has taught at the University of California, Davis.
