For the many years, I have been reporting about possible alien life and UFO’s I have always winced whenever I read an article in the news that opened with the phrase “The Truth is Out there.” I often wonder who the writer is speaking to when he approaches the subject. I know that it was an axiom created by writers of the X-Files but the value of truth, its accuracy and what leaves us with guesses about the UFO phenomenon amounts to continuous intrigue and intense study.
That is if you are a serious investigator and not some spiritually bankrupt individual looking for a new found guide for the craziness of this world.
Truth, as any dictionary will tell you, is a property of certain of our ideas. There has to be some “agreement,” in order for Truth to be truth as falsity means that there is a major disagreement, with “reality.”
Reality has always been a word that at this point in time should be used with finger quotes, especially when you speak about UFOs and the truth that applies to them.
Pragmatists and intellectualists both accept this definition as a matter of course. They begin to quarrel only after the question is raised as to what may precisely be meant by the term undefinedagreement,undefined and what by the term undefinedreality,undefined when reality is taken as something for our ideas to agree with.
It has to be said that in all of that so-called truth about UFOs there is a healthy amount of myth as well.
The search for extraterrestrials and the lifting the veil of secrecy with regard to UFOs and it continues to encompass a number of methodologies. Agencies like NASA are launching missions to Mars to find microbial life –and maybe some aquatic life under the ice of Europa. Other scientists are focusing on the extrasolar planets, in particular, earth-like planets or Goldilocks planets where everything is just right for life to exist.
There have been super earths that have been the focus of this investigation and there is a growing sense that it will only be a matter of time before scientists declare that there is an Earth 2.0.
While there are plenty of UFO believers that will tell you that many scientists and government officials are well aware of what is going on, we may have been too hasty in thinking that everyone is agreeing on what we are dealing with and whether or not UFO’s are being piloted exclusively by extraterrestrial intelligence.
Even scientists who are actively involved in the search for alien life in the cosmos don’t like to speculate about exactly what they might found out there. It is now the job of scientists to spate the mythology form the reality.
Biological life will certainly be found in outer space. There is major interest in going to Mars and of course, last year, NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said we might find microbial life on Mars.
Scientists are also focusing their attention on Jupiter’s Icy moon, Europa. Scientists are now realizing that what cannot be found on the surface of Mars or Europa can be found by digging deeper beneath the surface.
Observations of the snowball moon suggest that the water beneath the surface is both salty and perhaps heated by hydrothermal vents, producing a nice mix of conditions for life to thrive.
There are plans to send a NASA mission, dubbed Europa Clipper, to look for life on the frozen satellite. Europa Clipper won’t search for signs of life, but the probe will attempt to gauge the moon’s habitability. The Jupiter-orbiting spacecraft will characterize the moon’s ocean during dozens of flybys and collect a variety of other data as well, including scouting out good touchdown locations for a potential life-hunting lander mission.
Scientists are now developing what can be called “tunnelbots” that will land on the surface of Europa and then tunnel through the ice to other water below – the idea is a submerged satellite that could produce images of aquatic life below the surface.
They are serious about finding life because they are sure that they will find it.
And of course, there’s plenty of talk about further investigating Mars, where we’ve already landed multiple rovers and could soon set down our first footprints.
However with UFO’s we are now seeing that the truth is not necessarily out there but the concern is out there.
That concern goes all the way up the chain of command to the Pentagon.
Approved on Aug. 4th by Deputy Secretary of Defense David L. Norquist, the task force was officially launched “to improve its understanding of, and gain insight into, the nature and origins of UAPs,” according to a Friday evening news release. “The mission of the task force is to detect, analyze and catalog UAPs that could potentially pose a threat to U.S. national security.”
Again the concern is out there; apparently, they are all trying to agree on the truth.
The creation of the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, or UAPTF, continues an effort begun in recent years to investigate unexplained aerial incidents encountered by the U.S. military.
“The Department of Defense established the UAPTF to improve its understanding of, and gain insight into, the nature and origins of UAPs. The mission of the task force is to detect, analyze and catalog UAPs that could potentially pose a threat to U.S. national security,” the Pentagon wrote in a statement late Friday.
“The Department of Defense and the military departments take any incursions by unauthorized aircraft into our training ranges or designated airspace very seriously and examine each report. This includes examinations of incursions that are initially reported as UAP when the observer cannot immediately identify what he or she is observing,” the statement added.
The new task force will be overseen by the Department of the Navy and will report toundefinedthe Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security. The U.S. Navy has previously led efforts to look into unidentified aerial phenomena since the service branch has reported several encounters involving their aircraft.
According to CNN,undefinedwhich first reported the launch of the UAP task force, members of Congress and Pentagon officials have long expressed concern regarding the appearance unidentified aircraft in the vicinity of military installations.
A consensus remains elusive, however, with some believing the sightings are intelligence-gathering drones operated by earthly adversaries rather than anything extraterrestrial.
However, even though the investigations of intelligence gathering drones is good press in order to ignore the extraterrestrial intelligence aspects of the investigations—there are many report that the military has in its possession what are called off world craft that certainly have triggered he imaginations of toe that are hoping that perhaps this will lead to full disclosure of the possibility of intelligent or even artificial synthetic intelligent life forms are piloting these aircraft and that they are observing us and our military installations.
Amid uncertainty the Senate Intelligence Committee voted in June to have Pentagon and intelligence personnel provide analysis of the encounters, a move spurred on by the official Pentagon release of three short videos showing encounters between U.S. aircraft and unidentified flying objects 3 years ago.
Defense Department officials claim they initially withheld the release of the footage partially to ensure nothing in the video required ongoing classification. All three are currently posted on the official Naval Air Systems Command page.
President Donald Trump has previously described the U.S. Navy footage as “a hell of a video”—and while he has awkwardly answered probing questions about the UFO or UAP investigations he has been warming up to the questioning and has become more comfortable addressing the issue.
The UFO disclosure question is now being asked by reporters in the mainstream and the pressure is on by government entities to at least lift the veil on UFO secrecy and whether or not we are dealing with an extraterrestrial threat – or new exotic weaponry that will be piloted by Space force pilots in the future.
When you look at the figure for 2020 there are a lot of people that are having a change of heart when t comes to the UFO/alien connection. While many are still thinking that UFO’s could be piloted by extraterrestrials, there are now drones and satellites that are in the sky that can be mistaken for UFOs and so now more people are beginning to think that while the alien UFO connection is intriguing there are those that believe that perhaps what we are seeing in the sky is precluding a war in space.
Forty-five percent of Americans now believe that UFOs exist and have visited the Earth. That seems to be down from previous surveys –and can be attributed to the various announcements of patents and other declassified materials being released to the public that illustrate the deigns by the military of aircraft that actually could be mistaken for an alien spacecraft.
This indicates that perhaps the study of UFOs and alien spacecraft is maturing a bit from when it first was presented – there are certainly historical records and documentation of various UFO encounters that need to be reviewed again and again to separate the strange and paranormal activity from the more prosaic explanations.
So the stage is now set:undefinedthe US Military is about to lift the curtain on Planet Earth’s biggest lifetime mystery. It’s a multi-generational mystery; which today is a gigantic cultural meme that rakes in tens of billions, of dollars enthralling hundreds of millions worldwide.
The late UFO researcher, Stanton Friedman, once noted in hisundefinedReasons for Non-Disclosure, the biggest reason for continuing secrecy was a great danger for the world’s elite, that once the common people of Planet Earth knew they were not alone in the cosmos, they would favor a global government.
However now with COVID-19 and the toll it has taken on the planet it seems that aliens are not needed to scare people into surrendering to a New Order.
After all, we are dealing with something that is not unidentified.
We can say what COVID-19 is, and even what it looks like — not a giant Tic Tac, but a tiny, spiky ball.
We can also say that it’s dangerous, and that it’s right here, right now, all the time, everywhere, wreaking death. Yet we can’t say how to rid ourselves of it, or how long it will stay with us, or how many it will kill. This is both the wrong amount and the worst type of uncertainty — because we know too much for any thrilling mystery, and too little to be able to tell ourselves it’s going to be all right. There is nothing exciting about this. Our eyes are trained on something terrible, and it’s not moving much of anywhere.
Everything that vexes the so called experts should fascinate those unburdened by the need to know. Yes, there could be a logical explanation, but why take it when the alternative is a wide open space for our imaginations to wander?
The possibility of aliens also includes the possibility of annihilation by a hostile species, but it’s also the possibility of whole worlds beyond our own that our minds can populate as our whims move us. And in many ways it is more comforting to contemplate a cosmos that is alive and awake rather than just light-years of cold, sterile emptiness.
This is the loveliest sort of uncertainty, because it exists at a distance that allows us to make it whatever we want, whenever we want before we retreat back to the stability of our everyday existences here on this planet.
So it seems fitting that the Pentagon has chosen a moment of a very different sort of uncertainty to give credence to material it once portrayed as nonsense from people in tinfoil hats. And it makes sense that many are welcoming the reprieve.
Those who seek to debunk UFO claims focus wrongly on the object of the experience and all that is connected with it –whether it be Roswell, Area 51 , flying saucers, aliens with large eyes, men in black you name it.
However, there needs to be a bit of selective study with the various methodologies that I discussed earlier and they all can fit together is some sort of odd cosmic jigsaw puzzle.
But whether or not the unidentified object of the experience is real, the experience itself certainly is. Indeed, the experiences are held to be deeply meaningful. We can suspend belief about the object of an experience while honoring the experience itself as worthy of intellectual analysis. Whether aliens have visited Earth or not, what do the commonalities in the experiences of those who have engaged with UFOs say about us?
With all of the facts brought forward and the newly found interest in these things by the military – isn’t it odd that we are so caught up in one particular reality in our lives that we are neglecting other important discoveries?
The story may be getting a sparse reception now but plans are underway to take care of things if the official announcement that we are not alone creates panic in the United States.
The Pentagon’s announcement coincidentally came several weeks after the Senate’s version of the Intelligence Authorization Act which required the director of national intelligence and secretary of defense, to work with a variety of intelligence and law enforcement agencies,undefinedto prepare a public report of government findings on the UAP issue.
It appears that once people get tired of being afraid of COVID-19, the alien incursion will be one more thing to worry about; again, the concern is out there.
