6/27/22: DARKMAN – A DARK GRINNING MAN IN A HAT W/ HEIDI HOLLIS

Urban legends are always frustrating to me because no matter how many times you hear them you want to stop the storyteller and tell them that the story is a legend and that there is no fact to back it up. I realize now there is no harm in these stories and people can believe in Kentucky fried rat or in exploding cactuses loaded with spiders or hookers that take your kidneys while you sleep if they so choose.

There are some Urban Legends that when told over and over again seem to take on a life all their own. They can eventually show up in our reality and it is at that moment we bear witness to a causal manifestation.

In the Stephen King story, “The Stand” we were introduced to the concept of the “psychic predator.” There were many characters in the story who dreamed of a “dark man” who would come after a great plague.

The same concept was offered in another film “A Nightmare on Elms Street” where teenage children were being visited in their dreams by a child killer named Fred Kruger.

In the movie, “The Exorcist” the image of a dark grinning man with a white face was seen in flashed moments literally awakening a meme that has haunted many people from all walks of life.

Vecna is now another dark figure form the TV show Stranger Things that appears to prey on young people who feel regret undefined a monster from the upside down hat feeds on darker aspects of our existence.

Carl Jung had expressed that all humans have inherited a set of primordial images that are buried deep in the collective unconscious. These are called Archetypes and they tend to remain buried within the unconscious mind.

Deep down we respond to them and they are programmed into us through religion, art, literature, and films. The shadow archetype is the most dangerous one of all. Shadow archetypes have a tendency to invade thoughts and when those shadowy thoughts become “group think” there is the possibility that through some quantum trick a manifestation can take place.

The shadow archetype becomes a real breathing entity fortified with the group think that prolongs its life and its image can be a harbinger to some other event that will eventually cause hardship.

Dr. Carol S. Pearson who has developed her own archetypical methods has stated that shadow archetypes surface at times when we as a collective are worried about the future.

It seems that shadow archetypes are here to carry out our destruction and if they become autonomous egregores we must pay attention to them and try to eliminate or at least protect ourselves from their influences.

According to Pearson each and every person has a death wish that can ultimately hurt them and the much larger society. Pearson further adds, “Even the healthiest individual will do or say things that hurt other people. Ultimately, the Destroyer turns us into villains when we refuse to acknowledge and take responsibility for the harm we do and we all do harm of some kind”

One of my favorite paranormal writers is John Keel. he not only wrote about the Mothman appearances in the 1960s but he also detailed the dreams of those in the area of Point Pleasant during the alleged Mothman sightings.

The dreams were of dark men in hats that had pale faces - one was named Apol and the other was named Indrid Cold.

Indrid Cold and Apol, the two “grinning men” are characters that are considered shadow archetypes. They both represent death.

John Keel wrote about the foolish grinning man and how many people in the area of Point Pleasant were saying that they were dreaming about two of these dark men in hats and that there= were others who would see one or both of them standing in the sidewalk in front of them.

The entities were described as tall men wearing a black suit coat and trousers, with a craggy pale face, hollow eyes and a large toothy grin.

These grinning men would speak very few words and would sometimes ask to borrow things like a ballpoint pen, or ask for change and then walk away laughing and being giddy about the whole affair.

There was also the reports of people who have encountered these men getting strange phone calls that would predict the future.

John Keel the reporter had found himself in the middle of all of the chaos and received more phone calls from Indrid Cold and Apol.

The strange voices warned of Pope Paul VI would be stabbed, and that Robert Kennedy would be assassinated.

The Pope eventually was attacked and stabbed in the Philippines in 1970, and Robert Kennedy was shot by Sirhan Sirhan in 1968 after the Silver Bridge Collapse.

The hat men, the shadow men, and strange phone calls are also the plot of a new movie in theaters called, The Black Phone.

The dark entity, in this case, is called undefinedThe Grabber.undefined

The Grabber is actually based on a real entity. It was imagined out of the image of the Killer Clown, John Wayne Gacy.

The Black Phone features a cast that is led by children. It isn’t a simple coincidence that children tend to find themselves at the center of horror stories, and one of the main reasons behind that choice is they are the “embodiment of innocence.

Haunting the children touched the unconscious mind because deep down as Jung commented we are frightened children seeking answers in an unfathomable universe but I contend that we not only deal with entities of the universe but characters that can live somewhere in the multiverse.

The same writers of The Black Phone are responsible for one of the most terrifying motion pictures that was actually said to scientifically recorded.

The movie is called, Sinister featuring another pale grinning pagan entity known as Bughuul, the “devourer of children.undefined With origins dating back to Babylonian times, Bughuul commands the minds and souls of the young and forces them to murder their families, recording the incidents and preserving the spirit of the murders to recruit other children.

Bughuul of course is a construct based on Saturn or Chronos the god who devoured his children.

The power of the unknown is what creates inner terror, the thing that makes the blood chill.

It’s that darkness that creeps into your bedroom and hides the monster under your bed, or the terror of walking through the woods at night and hearing an unfamiliar sound.

These are all things we can relate to because we have all felt them in one way or another. We have felt the fear of not knowing, and that is sometimes the scariest feeling of all.

These grinning clown like entities are a constant in some of the most terrifying stories, including the Bible.

The grinning entities that were mistakenly called angels have been spoken of in the Bible. Much like Indrid Cold and Apol the angels in the story of Lot cast a shadow on the reality of these powerful entities.

The story of Lot, who lived in Sodom and Gomorrah, speaks of two tall pale strangers wearing black cloaks that appear on the scene before a major disaster.

It paints the picture of the shadowy beings perfectly. While the two strangers who show up in Sodom and Gomorrah are interpreted as angels, it can also be interpreted as something far more contemporary.

It is similar to those stories of the Men In Black that would show up in UFO stories most notably during the 1947 sightings over Maury Island, Washington.

It was these dark figures of UFO lore that threatened the families of Fred Crisman and Harold Dahl who claimed to have sighted a fleet of UFOs over the Puget Sound and collected debris from one of the crafts that was having trouble.

These dark men told the witnesses to retract their statements about what had happened and for 75 years the story of the incident has been buried in UFO history as a possible hoax.

Men In Black sightings has waned over the years, but an entity known as the Hat Man and even Slender Man sightings are proof that if something is thought into existence it can rip through space-time to be present and accounted for.

The multiverse theories are en vogue in a lot of science fiction and horror stories undefined but we need to understand that there has to be something to explain how these entities always show up at a bad time.

At the urgence of my listeners, I started watching the third season of the Umbrella Academy and as I was watching, I was surprised to see that the underlying plot is dealing with all of the things we have discussed on the show about the multiverse and many of the so-called paradoxes.

One in particular is the Grandfatherundefineds Paradox, where if you go back in time and kill your grandfather, then you wouldnundefinedt exist and therefore, shadows of you in superposition would somehow break through.

All that we now can surmise is that there is a shadow universe where entities pass through all the time just like travelers at a train station.

The paradox is loaded with both truth and deception -and we all know who defines the truth in the spiritual realms and who is the father of lies- spinning its own confounding paradox.

All things in a liar’s paradox can be analyzed and proven to be either true or false. Therefore, the old trick of the self-referential sentence applies here.

“If this sentence is true then the shadowy entities exist. Germany Borders China and Mickey Mouse is not a cartoon character.”

It is true that the sentence can be false, but it opens the dialogue for a great discussion about quantum mechanics and the multiverse. Every claim that is made should be met with all kinds of critical analysis and questions.

It must be put to the test and not just written off because it is uncomfortable.

It is uncertainty that keeps the debate alive, and it can be proposed that magic empowers the impossible. It maintains its effectiveness in order to achieve the miracle.

Again, thinking something into existence is probable when you apply Modal realism where a world with multiple universes crashes into the other because someone somehow summons the entities form the darker realms of existence.

If you are inclined to study the occult, you find that it makes for a larger world. ‘Occult‘ is a word that frightens many people and there are people who confuse the word with undefinedcult.undefined The dynamics of a cult are not at play when the multiverse opens up and reveals the abyss.

Things begin to unravel at an alarming rate and synchronicities create an air of mysticism that cannot be avoided. Taking a walk in the multiverse is to walk in a larger world.

All of the things that you have taken for granted: All objects, people, and places that we have been taught in the material world seem to collapse upon itself and we have to somehow work in a bit of quantum mechanics into the mix in order to avoid sounding absolutely crazy.

It is time to admit that somewhere out there, we can hypothesize that histories and rules are being rewritten in order to accommodate what is unfolding in this unpredictable world.

The game is changing.

Human consciousness is being prepped and readied for the new sphere of influence that seems to be a bit more chaotic and from a darker realm of existence.

The frightening thing is as the darkness gathers we may find ourselves believing that is some plot of the devil when in reality we are actually seeing a more intimate view of the true inner core of the human psyche.

It is difficult to describe the various layers of reality and how the multiverse can be compared to Russian nesting dolls where we take apart one only to find another that is similar, but most definitely is not the same. My job as a reporter of all things para-political and paranormal is to try and inform you of the hidden things that may be important later in our various quests for discovery and truth.

Aleister Crowley once commented that magic is just a disease of language and thought. Crowley also saw magic in a quantum sort of way when he stated that magic was the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with will.

To sum up everything that Crowley had professed is simply that magic is just the manipulation of words. As the shaman was simply a storyteller in the past, writers today are like the shamans of old. Their ability to create very frightening characters is a form of magic.

When these frightening characters leap from books, television shows, and movies we realize that perhaps they spark or kindle a relationship with dark archetypes that are already programmed into our core belief system. The application of magic in writing is still within the “science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with will.”

The mind is a powerful tool, and we can conclude that there are all sorts of realities behind us simply imploding as what is in front of us is the reality we know just beyond our feet. This is great if the world and the esoteric were simple things to explain to children and there are some children that are smarter than others.

Unfortunately, one cannot test the multiverse and the idea of a multiverse with imaginary friends like Santa Claus and Mickey Mouse being real beings has not been proven to be a reality.

However, as I have stated before, there are times when things get caught in the safety net of reality and when they do we explain it away as a miracle, an anomaly or just plain magic.

When your mind plays tricks on you, it is up to you as a sane person to play tricks back.

Sadly, it seems that one of our limitations as humans is that our brains can only process a single reality. While most people use less than three percent of their brain, we can speculate that perhaps the unused 97 percent is a barrier that keeps us from venturing into those other proposed universes and multiverse.

There is a blindness that occurs when we get glimpse of the abyss. The entities appear in the corners of our eyes and in the dark corners of perception. When our shields are down we tend to see these entities – even the fictional ones in our reality. Then by some miracle, the shields go up which makes us blind to other universes, and any anomalous events where our senses take in some element of another universe are rationalized away by that 90 some odd percent of our brains.

The thought in existence creates possibility. In the ether it sits and it becomes a tulpa, just a thought or a form to manifest in reality a legend in the making. Naive logic is an amazing starting point for legends and myths.

For about as long as written records have existed, people have described a frightening night-time vision that paralyzes them with fear and seems to suck the breath right out of them, often by pressing directly upon their chest.

The entity has stalked human beings throughout history, not merely within a particular society or during a specific time, but a grinning entity wearing a black hat is a dark figure that is in our unconscious mind that somehow appears in our reality in many forms and the character has been given many names over time undefined from Omul Negru in places like Romania, to Rephaim in which the ancient Hebrews spoke of giant shadowy entities with pale skin and teeth like razors.

The first reference to the Rephaim is Genesis 14:5, when the Rephaim, Zuzim, and Emim people were defeated in a battle with Kedorlaomer and his allies. When the Israelites first approached the Promised Land after the Exodus from Egypt, they were afraid to enter the land because it was filled with “giants” (the word used in Numbers 13:33 is Nephilim), the sons of Anak. Giants were widely scattered through Canaan, but were known by different local names, including Rephaim, Zuzim, Emim, and Anakim. Deuteronomy 2:20–21 says the Rephaim were strong and tall, like the Anakites. Og, king of Bashan, was described as the last of the Rephaim in his land (Deuteronomy 3:11), and his bed was thirteen feet long and six feet wide.

They are described generally as being between 7 and 10 feet tall and are called “mighty men.” The Egyptians wrote about tall pale enities that wore flowing robes and hoods who lived in the land of Canaan, and the folklore of other nations is full of such references.

The people of the ancient world accepted the presence of giant grinning vampire creatures as a fact of history, and the Bible presents them as enemies who were destroyed either by the judgment of God or in battle with men.

The word evolved to also describe the fallen ones which had a darker giants stature, with the face of a pale viper.

You cannot speak of the Tall Stalker or Grabber without mentioning the relatively new sightings of Slender Man and how the power of meme magick created the dark archetype that appears to children and in some cases has told them to kill themselves or their friends.

The character while the product of internet creepy pasta has now haunted the dreams of many young people and was even cited as the reason why two young girls lured a schoolmate into a playground and attempted to stab her to death.

On May 31, 2014, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, two 12-year-old girls, Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyser, lured their friend Payton Leutner into a forest and stabbed her 19 times in an attempt to become slaves or servants of Slender Man.

He’s often depicted as a tall and thin entity, wearing black pants, a black suit with a white shirt, and a black necktie underneath. He has really no facial features and is sometimes depicted as a blank-faced human. He also has other features like long arms and even tentacles in some sightings.

The stabbing resulted in extensive debate about the role of the Internet in society and its effect on children.

On March 31, 2019, a movie inspired by the Slender Man stabbing titled, Mercy Black, was released on Netflix with no prior announcement.

Directed by Owen Egerton and produced primarily by Blumhouse Productions, it tells the story of two girls with pre-schizophrenia who attempt to murder their friend, believing that a spirit named Mercy Black will offer them a gift in return.

Later, the protagonist is released from psychiatric care, and has to deal with the realistic and paranormal consequences of her actions.

Mercy Black is depicted as white faced figure wearing a black cloak undefined the image seems to be the predominant shape of evil from Michael Meyers to Scream to the Babadook.

The Dark Man, the Grinning Man, and Omul Negru – the man with the Black Hat has many names.

Many people were first introduced to this phantom in Poltergeist II: The Other Side, where “Reverend” Henry Kane, also known as The Beast shows up in the rain the abduct Carol Anne.

Kane claims to be a Reverend, likely from the American South, who started and became leader of a Utopian cult in the early 19th century. However, Kane simply wanted to harvest the energy of his followers’ spirits in the Afterlife to gain supernatural power. He led his “flock” across a desert t southern California into an underground cavern under the premise that the world was about to end, but in truth, Kane simply wanted to kill his disciples and himself and then harvest their souls in death.

It seems there is a running theme with the Hat Man being a “fallen one” — a man of God that has fallen from grace and makes a pact with the devil.

This Dark Man is a grinning demon in a black hat and black coat.

The Hat Man has similar characteristics with other terrifying shadow people.

He along with other entities like Black Eyed Children or Black Eyed Adults are why a lot of people are afraid of the dark as their sleep is tormented by these dark entities, many people claim that these beings show up on or around 3 AM — sometimes at 3:33 AM.

Anymore, we are beginning to see that mysteries and riddles are hidden in plain sight. Those with eyes wide open are beginning to see that the world is one big paranormal carnival and that standing there waiting to take your tickets is a fresh-faced devil that will tell you that you have entered a graveyard disguised as a circus with cute ballerinas and cartwheeling clowns.

The fear of the dark: It’s a common one. One of the reasons darkness can be so scary is that our eyes tend to play tricks on us when the lights are low. A jacket hanging on the door can easily morph into what looks like a person, or a pillow stuffed under your blankets can appear as someone lurking in your bed.

They do not belong in this dimension but they find ways to get in and appear in the shadows.

The truth is that the principle of Verum and Factum can be applied when things that don’t belong in this world appear out of nowhere. Verum and Factum are taken from the Latin phrase Verum esse ipsum factum, meaning what is true is often what is made. It is the makers knowledge and thought that contributes to what is real in this world, both in the physical and material realms.

The world is not only populated by upright walking human beings and animals. It is populated and under the control of various thought forms. There is within those thoughts a great deal of resonant noise and if you listen carefully to the noise there is always something that finds a way to surface, manifest, and renders consequence.

They undermine everything we set out to accomplish. How we see ourselves is how we see the world and if the collective unconscious is sending you a warning you must pay attention and be vigilant. Dire apocalyptic prophecies are no longer prophecy. They are apocalyptic blueprints for dismantling civilization and people are revering them because they are blinded by their own interpretations and their opinion that they are allegedly inspired by God.

When a shadow archetype manifests, it confronts us with the truth about ourselves.

We have our conscious selves and our unconscious selves where the mind severs all ties with reality and dwells in a place where dreams are made and true though form flows freely in the ether.

When all psychological explanations fail against the appearance of an entity – you have to then acknowledge that when you have coincidences or synchronicities that happen which seem to be beyond mere psychological action you could transpose ideas about the personality affecting reality through either the “collective unconscious,” or the remapping of probable events at a subconscious level by this newly created sub-personality.

The truth is not out there anymore – it is within you, and what comes at you is what you have a hand in making.
