11/8/22: VOTING DEMOCRACY TO DEATH W/ ANTHONY RUSSO

Posted on November 8th, 2022 by Clyde Lewis

As many Americans are engaging in the election process, the Biden Administration has ramped up its gaslighting campaign with propaganda and rhetoric - sounding like a desperate plea at undefinedsaving democracyundefined from the undefinedRed Wave.undefined For many voters, a vicious spiral of violence and fear is creating angst, paranoia, and an overwhelming sense of dread that the nation is on the eve of destruction. All you’re doing when you vote in America is reifying a simulation of democracy, and by doing so, perpetuating the system as it is. Tonight on Ground Zero, Clyde Lewis talks with political analyst, Anthony Russo about VOTING DEMOCRACY TO DEATH.

SHOW TRANSCRIPT:

Last night, I wanted to catch a glimpse of the harvest moon. Of course, we are in our rainy season and so every so often I get to see it poke through the clouds. It happened just after Midnight, and it was a gradual process until the moon looked as dark as a copper penny in the sky.

The eclipse was seen on four continents which made it extra special for skywatchers.

The Blood Moon had arrived. It was an ominous omen for the midterm elections — and an omen for, perhaps, more chaos — that is if you believe that the moon has an astrological and psychological effect on the planet.

Even the mainstream news was indicating that this might be a bad omen for the future.

They were saying that it could mean that we are on the eve of destruction.

We are teetering on the edge — and things are becoming more of a nightmare — especially with news stories that sound like they are from horror pulp novels.

There was an especially graphic story from the Epoch Times that reported:

A Chicago man has been arrested and charged after authorities say he left threatening voicemails for a Republican gubernatorial candidate.

Scott Lennox, 21, said in one message that he was going “to skin Darren Bailey alive” after killing the candidate’s family, according to a filing from the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.

“He better kill himself and if he doesn’t, I am going to kill him,” Lennox said.

It still looks as if we are keeping up with the idea of having a dirty war no matter the outcome of these midterm elections. We have been warned that this will be the election where democracy will come to die.

I hope that we realize how these statements are, again, part of the gaslighting campaign that has been ubiquitous during the times of the Biden administration.

I know that many of the radio stations I broadcast on are probably cutting away to give you election results. Of course, there are many stations that have given you their final verdict on who was victorious.

But to be real — I wanted to say that all of the propaganda and rhetoric this election was a farce and was made to sound like the election was a desperate attempt at saving democracy.

The left had us thinking that the vote was between Mother Teresa and Hitler.

Now we wait and see if their overblown fear mongering worked.

The media — at the last minute in desperation — have confidently stated that it looks like a red wave is coming. Perhaps you should wait it out to see if it is merely a red mirage.

When I hear things like this I tend to think that someone has a trick up their sleeve and that if there is an upset the wigged out radicals will take to the airwaves and speak about how dreadful it all is and not to trust it.

Then they too become election deniers and they can have a taste of their own medicine.

Elsewhere, other outlets are focused on gaslighting the public into believing counting votes has always taken a long time.

That means the so-called Red Wave if it happens, will have to wait while less enthusiastic liberals take their sweet time counting the votes — which again sounds very fishy.

Many news outlets have made the excuse that they won’t know all the midterm results on election night. That’s normal.

Which is a lie. It’s not “normal” at all. For decades, vote counting has been completed on the same day. This is pure programming.

While NPR warns people to “be patient” because the election is going to “go on for a while.”

And just last night, Whitehouse press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters at the daily press briefing:

We may not know all the winners of elections for a few days. It takes time to count all legitimate ballots in a legal and orderly manner. Thatundefineds how this is supposed to work.undefined

Can you see how they have already set us up for the possibility of rigging the impossibly unrigged election process?

It is funny if it isnundefinedt so damned misleading and despicable.

It is all in the words they use and the way they use them. It is known for neurolinguistic programming and they are very good at turning a phrase and perverting its meaning.

In his famous book Nineteen Eighty-Four, George Orwell eloquently penned how elitists would render words to mean their opposite:

“War is peace,

freedom is slavery,

and ignorance is strength.”

This election has had its fair amount of wordplay, especially when it comes to casting your vote to keep democracy or kill it.  These off-handed remarks from the left are classic Orwell tripe from Barack Obama on down to panicky leftist historians that believe that if we have a red wave, there will be a massive burning of books, censorship, and the arrest and killing of our children.

On MSNBC, presidential historian Michael Beschloss sounded nearly apocalyptic when discussing what could happen if Republicans regain power in Congress.

“Fifty years from now, if historians are allowed to write in this country and if there are still free publishing houses and a free press — which I’m not certain of — but if that is true, a historian will say what was at stake tonight and this week was the fact whether we will be a democracy in the future, whether our children will be arrested and conceivably killed.”

This over-the-top take on the voting process drew immediate criticism. George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley tweeted, “So much for gas prices. The choice is now voting democratic or lining up your children in front of a firing squad.undefined

Barack Obama of course gets dragged out into this over-the-top hyperbole by saying that it is either vote for democracy or suffer the consequences —

He said:

“I understand that democracy might not seem like a top priority right now. Especially when it doesn’t seem like the results always work for you. When you don’t see enough progress on issues that matter to you and your family. Sometimes progress is slow. But we have seen throughout history and we’re seeing right now what happens when you give up on democracy.”

I donundefinedt know what planet these people are on — but I can tell you that the idea of voting for one party that claims to uphold democracy more than another is yet another lie that was conjured in some propaganda think tank.

Remember this is coming from the party that supports a President that has given the effort of many in his political party to entertain the idea of packing the Supreme Court and pushing censorship on social media.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass, has declared the Supreme Court illegitimate and has called to pack the Court for rending opinions against “widely held public opinion.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez even questioned the institution’s value: “How much does the current structure benefit us? And I don’t think it does.” She has now demanded the impeachment of Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch based on the entirely false claim that they lied under oath in their confirmation hearings. After the Dobbs decision, Ocasio-Cortez demanded “there must be consequences” for the Court.

Elie Mystal (past writer for Above the Law and the Nation) called the Constitution “trash.” Some law professors want to “reclaim America from Constitutionalism.”

Obama added that you see the threat to democracy “in countries where the government tells you what books you can and cannot read.” Yet, many on the left are seeking to preserve censorship by surrogate on social media and seeking to prevent the publication of books by those with whom they disagree, including a book by Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett. With corporate censorship threatened, many leaders like Hillary Clinton are turning to good old-fashioned state censorship.

Indeed, President Joe Biden has questioned how citizens will know the truth without censors framing what the truth is on social media and the Internet.

Obama ended this discussion with the same ominous warnings heard from other Democratic politicians and pundits:  “when true democracy goes away, people get hurt.”

What he fails to realize as most politicians do is that most people are already feeling hurt and betrayed by the current administration.

It is meant to spread fear in citizens and make them believe that our constitutional system is about to fail because your vote could be the death of democracy.

The last refuge of the scoundrel is to sound like a demagogue and it is nothing more than hubris to continue to praise democracy while all while destroying it from within.

The level of anger that we are witnessing all over the United States right now is extremely alarming. Millions of voters on both the left and the right are filled with rage.

The bitter division among the people has literally destroyed any means of discourse — it is either one side or death to democracy.

We are a nation that is teetering on the brink of widespread civil unrest. As NBC News has noted, candidates from both major political parties “have been physically attacked” in recent weeks.

These actually are the first signs of civil war — and, if successful, can lead to what is called a decapitation exercise.

I remember many years ago when we focused on the voting processes in the Middle East and how armed guards would have to be at the voting centers to ensure that the vote would be legitimate.

I remember the way we said undefinedThank God we are not like themundefined we are more civilized and more sophisticated than they are.undefined

But now some 20 years later we are no better.

Armed men in masks and tactical gear have shown up at secure ballot drop boxes. Candidates of both parties have been physically attacked, election workers intimidated and threats against members of Congress are up tenfold.

For many voters, a vicious spiral of violence and fear is creating angst, paranoia, and an overwhelming sense of dread that the nation is on the eve of destruction, according to a growing body of public opinion research.

One of the things I forgot to get to last night is the threat of civil war which certainly is on the minds of those that will not like the outcome of this election.

Many news organizations say that it will be a given that there will be violence no matter who wins.

Many political extremists are trying to force the population to choose sides, in part, by demonstrating to citizens that one party cannot keep them safe or provide basic necessities.

Whether the radical left or right realize it or not, they are generating support for violent measures if one party takes the wheel. I am sure that there are already police state plans for any party that decides to revolt against a right-heavy or left-heavy vote.

Civil wars almost never happen in full, healthy, strong democracies. They also seldom happen in full autocracies. Violence almost always breaks out in countries in the middle — those with weak and unstable pseudo-democracies. Anocracy plus factionalism is a dangerous mix.

We also know who tends to start civil wars, especially those fought between different ethnic, religious and racial groups. This also does not bode well for the US. The groups that tend to resort to violence are not the poorest groups, or the most downtrodden.

It’s the group that had once been politically dominant but is losing power. It’s the loss of political status — a sense of resentment that they are being replaced and that the identity of their country is no longer theirs — that tends to motivate these groups to organize.

Those who lose the power play are more than likely going to generate an internal war — and while the left is so keen on blaming radical republicans.

But the US is more vulnerable to political violence than other countries because of the decrepitude of its institutions. For 40 years, trust in institutions of all kinds — the church, the police, journalism, academia — has been in freefall. Trust in politicians can hardly fall any lower. And there is no reason for trust.

Quasi-legitimacy is what leads to violence. And America’s political institutions are destined to become more and more quasi-legitimate from now on. One of the surest markers of incipient civil war in other countries is the legal system devolving from a non-partisan, truly national institution to a spoil of partisan war. That has already happened in the US.

The midterms, no matter who wins, will inform us if anything, of the schedule and the manner of the fall of the republic. The results might delay the decline or accelerate it. But, at this point, no merely political outcome can prevent the downfall. America has passed the point at which the triumph of one party or another can fix what’s wrong with it, and the kind of structural change that’s necessary isn’t on the table.

Whoever we vote for, we will be voting for authoritarian corporate rule; with the national security state, the real US government — an unelected one — running the show.

The President of the United States has now weaponized the FBI and the national security apparatus into something that would be equivalent to the Gestapo or the Stasi.

It could be argued that outrageously obvious corruption is deliberately designed to enrage people, so they have an excuse to crack down on “domestic terrorists and election deniers”. But if they want “terrorist incidents” to happen, they could just stage them like they usually do.

They are so desperate I would predict that they may one day reveal this corruption in an attempt to argue “democracy is broken” and that we need a “new system”.

The new system, of course, will be provided by our good friend at Davos.

Orwell, again, comes to mind as I am standing here and that is what he said about future governments and their manipulations.

It is debated whether or not George Orwell said, undefinedA people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves, and traitors are not victims, but accomplices.undefined

But it still holds true today — especially today.

Nobody can claim that the mood in this country is “good” right now. In fact, one recent survey found that two-thirds of all Americans believe that the U.S. is “at its lowest point in their memory.undefined

The United States is a textbook example of a country headed toward civil war. The trends increasingly point one way, and while nobody knows the future, little — if anything — is being done by anyone to try to prevent the collapse of the republic.

Two-thirds of Americans say the country is at its lowest point in their memory, and more than a quarter report being so stressed they can’t function most days according to a recent survey commissioned by the American Psychological Association, in which more than three-quarters said the future of the country was a significant source of stress in their lives.

For millions of Americans, the struggle for survival from month to month is the biggest reason why they are so stressed.

Even though the democrats warn you that the vote is putting democracy on the line — they fail to acknowledge that the trajectory we have been heading is further destroying our country — and the biggest concern of all is how the Average American is going to dodge the bullet of starvation and bankruptcy.

These days, a lot of Americans are “exhausted all the time.” Yet just about everything that our leaders do to fix our problems end up making them even worse.

I contend that at this moment in our history, The US is not a democracy, nor a republic and those “elected” by digital rigging represent an edict policy for the 1% upon the serf lives of the bottom 95%. Our votes are nothing but check box A or B for 1% oligarchic rule enforced by the barrel of a gun in President Bidenundefineds police state.

It is a giant fraud held together only by the hopeful naivete of about 60% of society that becomes media-coerced into believing that Democracy can be killed or revived by one party — by one vote that the ruling party approves of.

We can agree upon basic individual rights that protect against the tyranny of any state.

But with the right brainwashing, gullible people can fall for despotism so easily if it is preached to them by Charismatic Marxists that have managed to go by the book to ensure the death of the republic and the democracy it is supposed to uphold.

It will take decades of collective problem-solving until everyone in this modern world is vested in this process and trusts the results. But first, the 1% oligarchies that are now destroying any future for Humanity with War, Pestilence, Poverty, and Serfdom have to be exposed and we have to admit there is a fair amount of corruption and globalist goals in every party — this includes neocons and neoliberals.

They want globalism too — but not the globalism that is being presented by the U.N., NATO, or the World Economic Forum.

It will be easy for them to do their magic. It is all the same actually. They will shake your hand, kiss your baby, then sell you to the first pharmaceutical lobbyist or military industrial lobbyist or Climate Change green energy lobbyist that waltzes into their office with a check or that threatens to turn their voters against them.

All you’re doing when you vote in America is reifying a simulation of democracy, and so perpetuating the system as it is.
