10/26/20: THE LURKERS W/ CHAD LEWIS

Posted on October 26th, 2020 by Clyde Lewis

MONOLOGUE WRITTEN BY CLYDE LEWIS

We all have that darker kind that dwells in our subconscious. They always seem to show up in our dreams and sometimes they manifest in our rooms.

It is normal but when it happens all the time, it can be terrifying.

Before my father died, he shared with me an experience he had where he woke up in his room and that there were three hags hovering over his bed. He said that they were terrifying to look at. He stated that one had a needle and thread and another had knitting needles. He said the other was measuring him with a tailor’s tape measure.

He believed that the woman was measuring him for a coffin and that the others were there to knit him an outfit for his corpse.

I explained to him that while the experience was terrifying – it could have been that these were archetypes that represented what are called the “furies” or “fates.”

In mythology, the fates were the three goddesses of fate who personified the inescapable destiny of man. They assigned to every person his or her fate or share in the scheme of things. Three old hags in your room – measuring and knitting would be unnerving. It would be more terrifying to realize that they are measuring you for your funeral.

They have been called the “old women”, “grey ones”, or “grey witches.”

Dream interpreters would say that dreaming of the fates means that you are unsure of your destiny. He died a year later of pulmonary edema.

The fates as they appear in dreams are more or less harbingers of what is about to change, whether it be good or bad depends on how the thread spins.

They represent the rhythms of the ebb and flow of Energy, Matter, and Meaning - the three basic components of the universe. They were here first; they will stay to the last. Everyone’s story is in the fates’ web - the weave. They are one; they are three; they are nine, three times three. Their mystery cannot be totally understood.

The fates in dreams represent memento mori—or that everyone dies.

Carl Jung had expressed that all humans have inherited a set of primordial images that are buried deep in the collective unconscious. These are called archetypes and they tend to remain buried within the unconscious mind. Deep down we respond to them and they are programmed into us through religion, art, literature, and films. The shadow archetype is the most dangerous one of all. Shadow archetypes have a tendency to invade thoughts and when those shadowy thoughts become “groupthink” there is the possibility that through some quantum trick a manifestation can take place.

The shadow archetype becomes a real breathing entity fortified with the groupthink that prolongs its life and its image can be a harbinger to some other event that will eventually cause hardship. Dr. Carol S. Pearson who has developed her own archetypical methods has stated that shadow archetypes surface at times when we as a collective are worried about the future.

It seems that shadow archetypes are here to carry out our destruction and if they become autonomous egregores we must pay attention to them and try to eliminate or at least protect ourselves from their influences. We send out vibrations to the ether and the ether replies, mostly during dreamtime.

Whether you are conscious of it or not, we are affected by different vibrations. Every one of us are affected by what is going on in the universe—at the moment, all of the planets are in opposition to our Sun and the solar system is kind of leaning to one side, meaning that there is no balance.

Neptune, the planet of dreams, imagination, and creativity, has been in retrograde for some time and will remain that way until November 28h. Being the master of illusion, when Neptune is direct, it puts a veil in our eyes, helping us hide anxieties and unwanted realities. However when it is in retrograde the veil is lifted and this is where precognitive visions happen and many people experience nightmares and some may experience the revealing of what are called “Lurkers” in the home.

Whether we like it or not, our homes have what are called Lurkers or inactive spirits that activate in times where we are the most distressed. They are passive spirits but usually appear at night. They have been called many things Cacodemons, Incubi and Succubae undefined Wraiths and Lurkers or guardians of the threshold.

These Lurkers, cacodemons or spirits are actually unleashed during a plague or in a circumstance where death is a constant worry. They move from house to house to attach themselves to articles of clothing, furniture, and animals.

Rarely do they attach themselves to humans but sometimes they do. Many people say that these beings wake you at around 3 in the morning which many people know is the witching hour.

In folklore, the witching hour or devilundefineds hour is a time of night associated with supernatural events. Witches, demons and ghosts are thought to appear and to be at their most powerful. Black magic is thought to be most effective at this time. In the Western Christian tradition, the hour between 3 and 4 a.m. was considered a period of peak supernatural activity, due to the absence of prayers in these wee hours of the morning.

It is believed that it is during the witching hour when a portal opens between the visible and the invisible world. So, someone wakes up feeling like somebody has roused them, or is watching them. This is also the time when out-of-body experiences or astral projections usually happen.

Some people have more of these experiences than others do and so there are ways to curtail the problem undefined Sometimes, restlessness in sleep pattern is caused by our sleeping in the wrong direction of your head. As a rule, we should sleep with our head towards the west so that you waken to the Sun rising in the east.

Also many people tend to have lurker experiences when there are mirrors in the room. It has been known by various black magicians that mirrors can open up portals to other dimensions. If you have mirrors in your room, don’t make them face your bed where you can see yourself while sleeping. Either cover them at night or remove them altogether.

If you see a lurker in a mirror, this is known as a psychomanteum experience or phenomenon.

Many children have been known to play psychomanteum spiritual contact games using a mirror – one in particular is called Bloody Mary Bloody Mary.

During the ritual, Bloody Mary allegedly appears to individuals or groups who ritualistically invoke her name, usually by repeatedly chanting her name in a mirror placed in a room that is usually lit by a candle. The Bloody Mary apparition allegedly appears as a corpse, a witch or ghost; can be friendly or evil; and is sometimes “seen” covered in blood. The lore surrounding the ritual if she is summoned properly states that participants may endure the apparition screaming at them, cursing them, strangling them, stealing their soul, drinking their blood, or scratching their eyes out.

Another party or sleep over ritual is more or less a spell that is repeated by participants in order to summon ghosts to levitate a person.

One participant lies flat on the floor, and then the others space themselves around him or her, each placing one or two fingertips underneath the participant’s body. The person closest to the head commonly begins by saying “She’s looking ill,” which the others repeat; then “she’s looking worse” is spoken and repeated back. The general direction of the call-and-repeat describes how the prone person is looking worse and worse, followed by saying “she is dying,” and, finally, “she is dead.”

Variations of the spoken part of the game occur, with a common modern version the person being lifted is told a story about their death and asked to imagine it happening to him or her. It serves the dual purpose of “freaking out” the participants and convinces the participants that it will be easier to lift this person.

All versions end with the phrase “light as a feather, stiff as a board” chanted by the entire group except the prone person, who pretends to be dead as they attempt to lift their companion’s body using only their fingertips.

Some versions omit the story entirely and only the “light as a feather…” chant is used. Allegedly, after these repetitions, the person being lifted will seem lighter or even entirely weightless.

These actions are happening because they are literally calling upon Lurker spirits or the lurkers in the threshold to come and assist in the ritual.

“Omul Negru Na Venit” is a European ritual where kids would summon a little black demon – or the Dark Man. The dark man “Omul” is a very terrifying figure. He appears as a hooded demon, or even a demon wearing a metal mask. One young person in the crowd calls out to Omul Negru and then when his name is repeated the spirit of the demon would appear and possess a chosen child. The child then says “Children Children come to dinner, do not be afraid of the black monster. The children enter the room and ask the “medium” questions.

“Who are you?”
“Black Monster.”
“What do you eat?”
“Man’s flesh”
“What do you drink?”
“Man’s blood.”
“What is your Pillow?”
“Man’s skull.”

The children then wait for the Omul Negru to come out of the child so they can run to their mother’s for safety.

This is similar to the old game “No bears are out tonight.”

When we were kids we thought they were harmless but what we are doing is calling out for the assistance of the Lurkers.

Some believe that Lurkers are the spirits you find on Ouija Boards. One of the more infamous lurkers is an entity called ZoZo.

ZoZo is the maker of nightmares and some manifest in the real world. He is also described of looking much like Slenderman but again, Slenderman is simply a variation of Morpheus or Omul negru or even the Sandman.

The Sandman again is the devourer of dreams and is at his most powerful when the stars and the planets align or during a full moon.

The planetary imbalances at this time seem give us the feeling of darker synchronicity -where we feel that we are attracting synchronicities of ill will. We fell that our lives are out of synch. It puts you in a vulnerable position spiritually. Of course, what is slowing us down spiritually tends to manifest in the material world.

These darker and unbalanced energies come from places, thought forms, possessions, human parasites, ghosts, poltergeists, demonic contact and even bad dreams or dreams that are seen as apocalyptic and troubling.

Morpheus was the Greek god of dreams. Morpheus usually appears as a tall, thin man with bone-white skin, black hair, He customarily wears a billowing black cape.

His story has evolved over time, and it was later that he was called the Sandman.

The Sandman is a mythical being from folklore who is said to be the embodiment of dreams and rules over the realm of dreams and nightmares. Originating from Northern European lore, he brings good dreams by sprinkling magical sand onto the eyes of children while they sleep at night.

There is also another creature bearing the name “Sandman”, it is called the Tick Tock but this creature is very different. Its skin is pale, decayed and discolored. It is bald, some say it doesn’t have features — others say it grins at you and makes a clicking sound with its tongue. It has very long fingers. It hides just out of sight in the dark and whispers “tik toc, tik toc” to its unlucky victim. This strange chant quickly puts the victim into a deep sleep.

There is that song by Metallica that comes to mind when mentioning the Sandman.

“Hush little baby don’t say a word
And never mind that noise you heard
It’s just the beast under your bed
In your closet in your head–
Sleep with one eye open gripping your pillow tight.
Exit light
Enter night
Take my hand
We’re off to Never Never-land.”

It is the entity at the foot of your bed – a nocturnal entity that is conjuring in dreams and we hope that this is where this entity stays.

Sometimes it doesn’t.

Most people experience isolated sleep paralysis [ISP] at least once in their lives. This peculiar conscious vision state occurs at the boundaries of sleep, when we feel aware and awake. Sudden feelings of paralysis in bed — can’t move, can’t scream — give way to a terrifying encounter with a shadowy figure in the bedroom. Sometimes the figure materializes — the stranger who may sit on the side of the bed or on your chest, and breathe its putrid breath into your face as it glares with glowing red eyes.

It is estimated that somewhere around 1 in 5 isolated sleep paralysis experiences are accompanied by dream-like hallucinations, almost always manifesting in negative or frightening forms, projected on their actual physical surroundings.

Witches, demons, thieves, and rapists occupy the room with the paralyzed individuals, sometimes speaking to them, threatening them, or even touching them in extraordinarily life-like manners.

One can perhaps imagine very few things more terrifying than being completely unable to move, talk, or even scream while an intruder, whether human, demon, alien or some other nefarious menace roams about your room while you’re awake.

People often report feeling a pressure weighing down on them and they sometimes state that these encounters with an old Hag or a woman seem to happen in a dreamlike state.

When the living encounters this kind of spirit they often report a feeling that they have been caressed, sat upon or even violated for the purpose of sexual gratification.

There also have been cases that have resulted in death.

In December of 1981, the Centers for Disease Control published a report detailing sudden, unexpected deaths during sleep among mostly young, male, Southeast Asian refugees in the United States. Thirty-three of those who died were from Laos, four were from Vietnam, and one was from Cambodia.

“The abruptness of the deaths reported here is compatible with cardiac dysrhythmia,” the report stated, “but the underlying mechanism remains unclear.” Proposed explanations included stress from immigration and resettlement, sleep abnormalities, undiagnosed heart defects, and dietary deficiencies, but nothing could be proven. So it began to be called sudden unexplained death syndrome, or SUDS, and was quickly recognized as a leading cause of death among young men from Southeast Asia.

This syndrome, it turns out, had bedeviled Southeast Asians for generations. In the Philippines, it was called “bangungot,” the Tagalog word for nightmare. “Such ‘deadly dreams’ are well known among the lay people,” a Philippine medical journal noted as far back as 1917, “many of whom view them with sullen respect, if not frank terror.” In Thailand, it was called lai-tai; in Japan, pokkuri. Whatever the name, the syndrome was the same: sudden death of apparently healthy young men, often at night.

Shelley Adler wrote a book about these men who died in their sleep.

In the book, Sleep Paralysis: Night-mares, Nocebos, and the Mind-Body Connection, Adler, who is a professor at the University of California, San Francisco, comes to a stunning conclusion: In a sense, the men were killed by their beliefs in the spirit world, even if the mechanism of their deaths was likely an obscure genetic cardiac arrhythmia.

They were terrified of the dark – of sleeping –of being awakened by Lurkers.

These Lurkers when manifest can grin through their deathly pale faces as they watch over us in paralyzed sleep. These darker beings are what are now common in human collective thought.

The human collective generates a massive amount of powerful thoughts and anxieties. They sometimes show up in dreams – they are tailor-made nightmares sewn into the fabric or our subconscious minds.

The world is not only populated by upright-walking human beings and animals. It is populated and under the control of various thought-forms. There is within those thoughts a great deal of resonant noise and if you listen carefully to the noise there is always something that finds a way to surface, manifest and renders consequence.

That is why as Carl Jung had warned, we must strive to avoid those “shadow archetypes” that creep into our collective unconscious. They undermine everything we set out to accomplish. How we see ourselves is how we see the world and if the collective unconscious is sending you a warning you must pay attention and be vigilant.

When a shadow archetype manifests it confronts us with the truth about ourselves.

At times, it seems more convenient to just go back to sleep and hit the snooze bar repeatedly until we no longer have the will to open our eyes.
