MONOLOGUE WRITTEN BY CLYDE LEWIS
One of the biggest stories of the year did not happen in 2020 – it happened quietly in 2021. As the last chime of the year ceased to vibrate and we were happy to end a decade by ripping a page off the desk calendar there was a story that many people probably did not read.
Buried in more COVID-19 distraction was the signing of the COVID Bill but what was inside its pages was a challenge for UFO disclosure.
On December 27th, 2020 President Trump’s signature on the $2.3 trillion COVID-19 relief and government funding bill started a 180-day countdown for the Pentagon and spy agencies to say what they know about UFOs.
The provision received very little attention, in part because it wasn’t included in the text of the 5,593-page legislation, but as a “committee comment” attached to the annual intelligence authorization act, which was rolled into the massive bill.
The Senate Intelligence Committee, chaired by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), said in the comment that it “directs the [director of national intelligence], in consultation with the Secretary of Defense and the heads of such other agencies … to submit a report within 180 days of the date of enactment of the Act, to the congressional intelligence and armed services committees on unidentified aerial phenomena.”
The report must address “observed airborne objects that have not been identified” and should include a “detailed analysis of unidentified phenomena data collected by: a. geospatial intelligence; b. signals intelligence; c. human intelligence; and d. measurement and signals intelligence,” the committee said.
The report must also contain “[a] detailed analysis of data of the FBI, which was derived from investigations of intrusions of unidentified aerial phenomena data over restricted United States airspace … and an assessment of whether this unidentified aerial phenomena activity may be attributed to one or more foreign adversaries.”
After the Pentagon confirmed this the story went viral on the internet on New Year’s Day.
This calls into question whether or not this will lead to further disclosure of the truth behind the mysteries of UFO’s or what the military calls UO’s or UAP – Unidentified Aerial phenomena.
Several newspapers have reported that Defense Department spokesperson Sue Gough said in a statement that “We are aware that the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence committee report on the Intelligence Authorization Act for fiscal 2021 included a requirement for the Director of National Intelligence, in consultation with the Secretary of Defense, to submit a report on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) within 180 days of enactment.”
The push for more information follows the Pentagon’s April publication of three Navy videos showing unidentified objects. Just before years end there was also a report of an f-18m pilot who also shot a picture of a large triangular craft that again raised the question by the defense department of what we are actually dealing with.
Chris Mellon, former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence, said thst that “the newly enacted Intelligence Authorization Act incorporates the Senate Intelligence Committee’s report language calling for an unclassified, all-source report on the UAP phenomenon. This was accomplished in the Joint Explanatory Statement accompanying the bill.”
Meanwhile, former Obama-era CIA director John Brennan has described the declassified Pentagon UFO videos as undefinedeyebrow-raisingundefined and has said they should be treated with an open mind.
When pressed about whether he thought aliens existed and have visited Earth, Brennan said it is undefineda bit presumptuous and arrogant for us to believe that thereundefineds no other form of life anywhere in the entire universe, undefined but added that it may not fit the bill of what we necessarily think of as undefinedlifeundefined.
He highlighted the importance of thinking outside the box, examining the potential for weird weather phenomena, a go-to for authorities downplaying alleged UFO sightings, among other possible explanations for the baffling videos.
He even strayed into the realm of the supernatural, suggesting the videos may depict undefinedphenomenon that is the result of something that we donundefinedt yet understand and that could involve some type of activity that some might say constitutes a different form of life.undefined
Brennan cited his position as an agnostic as the main reason heundefineds so open-minded about UFOS , but declined to speculate about aliens, gods, daemons, deities, or superheroes/villains being the source of the bizarre sightings.
The former head of the Israeli Defense Ministryundefineds space unit, Haim Eshed, caused quite a stir earlier this month when he claimed that humans have made contact with a undefinedgalactic federationundefined of aliens with whom we have, apparently, signed a contract to conduct experiments here on Earth.
He also claimed that there is a manned, underground US base on Mars, but declined to provide any proof, and added that President Trump was on the cusp of disclosing what he knows but didn’t.
Looking back at 2020, I am sure many people are unaware that in some news circles, journalists have said that while COVID-19 has been the big news story, UFO’s and reports of them were simply ignored and that the whole UFO investigation was the story that was most censored in 2020.
In a year when mysterious monoliths literally appeared out of nowhere, youundefinedd think the first real detection of alien life would be a stoneundefineds-throw away. Well, 2020 didnundefinedt bring any little green men, but it did bring astronomers closer to finding extraterrestrial life than ever before. From organic molecules turning up around the solar system to mysterious radio signals finally being traced back to their source.
It all started in January of 2020 when it was reported that The U.S. Navy said the release of certain classified briefings that stated that new video and slides indicated that there were other UFO sightings that included a triangular shaped craft and a cube that was seen by pilots. Eventually one of those photos were released to the public,
A couple of weeks later, the U.K. announced that reported UFO sightings by the British public will be published online for the first time. The Royal Air Force ran a UFO unit for 50 years but shut it down in 2009 after coming to the conclusion that none of the reports offered evidence of a real threat.
In mid-February, after the U.K.undefineds decision to publish reported UFO sightings online, 61% of Americans surveyed said they want the U.S. government to declassify the countryundefineds so-called undefinedX-files.undefined Fifty-eight percent said they believe the U.S. government undefinedactively investigates extraterrestrial life.undefined
April was a blockbuster month as the Pentagon officially released unclassified footage showing undefinedunidentified aerial phenomenaundefined captured by Navy aircraft that had circulated in the public for years.
The original Tic Tac videos wer leaked and we were talking about them as far back as 2017.
The videos, were known as undefinedFLIR1,undefined undefinedGimbalundefined and undefinedGoFast.undefined They were originally released to the New York Times and Tom DeLongeundefineds group, To The Stars Academy.
The first video of the unidentified object was taken on Nov. 14, 2004, and shot by the F-18undefineds gun camera. The second video was shot on Jan. 21, 2015, and shows another aerial vehicle with pilots commenting on how strange it is. The third video was also taken on Jan. 21, 2015, but it is unclear whether the third video was of the same object or a different one.
In May, scientists got to work on studies of both biosignatures in Space and Technosignatures tat would lead us to believe that life exists in space beyond our own. While technosignatures included searching for ancient artifacts on Mars and the moon—the search for biosignature included the search for alien life: oxygen-free planets. While it has been long assumed that alien life needs air to breathe, a study published May 4 in the journal Nature Astronomy argues that maybe undefinedairundefined and undefinedoxygenundefined arenundefinedt always synonymous. Hydrogen and helium are far more common elements in our universe (Jupiterundefineds atmosphere is 90% hydrogen, for example), so what if an alien species evolved to breathe that stuff instead?
It turns out, it may be possible. The study authors exposed a type of non-oxygen-breathing bacteria called E. coli to two different undefinedatmospheresundefined fabricated inside some test tubes. One set of flasks was pure hydrogen, the other pure helium. They found that the bacteria were able to survive in both conditions, though their growth was stunted. This experiment undefinedopens the possibility for a much broader spectrum of habitats for life on diverse habitable worlds, undefined study author Sara Seager, a planetary scientist at MIT, wrote in the paper.
In June of 2020, The Astrophysical Journal published a report that estimated that there were 36 intelligent alien civilizations lurking among the hundreds of billions of stars in the Milky Way.
How did the researchers arrive at that number? By taking a another look at the Drake equation. Astronomer Frank Drake, who debuted the equation in 1961, was aimed at guessing the likely number of alien civilizations in our galaxy based on variables like the average rate of star formation, the percentage of stars that form planets and the much-smaller percentage of planets that have the right stuff for life. Most of these variables are still unknown, but the authors of the new study tried to resolve them with the most up-to-date information on star formation and exoplanets available.
The scientists determined that there are precisely 36 planets in the Milky Way that could host intelligence life similar to that on Earth. But even if the researchers nailed all those unknown variables, itundefinedll still be a while before we meet one of our intelligence neighbors; assuming an even distribution of civilizations throughout the galaxy, the closest one is 17,000 light-years away from Earth.
In our solar system, four worlds seem to have the right stuff for the possibility of life. The foremost is Mars — one of the most Earth-like worlds in our solar system. Earlier this year, a large lake was detected beneath the southern polar ice cap, giving new hope that tiny microbes could be present there.
The other three candidates are all moons: Jupiterundefineds moon Europa, and Saturnundefineds moons Enceladus and Titan. Like Mars, Europa hold the promise of water; its surface is a vast expanse of ice, which may conceal a gargantuan global ocean more than 60 miles deep. Enceladus, too, is an icy world that may holds liquid water deep beneath its surface. Recently, gargantuan geysers were spotted spraying water, grains of rocky particles and some organic molecules off of the moon and into space. Titan, meanwhile, is the only moon in our solar system with a substantial atmosphere, which is rich in nitrogen — an important building block of proteins in all known forms of life.
Also in June , the topic of UFOs spurred national interest once again, after President Trump told his son, Donald Jr., that he had undefinedinterestingundefined details on Roswell, New Mexico.
Late July saw the explosive release of a report that mentioned a long-hidden UFO investigative unit within the Pentagon making its findings public, as well as undefinedoff-world vehicles not made on this Earth.undefined
In August, the Pentagon officially launched the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, boosting an effort by the Office of Naval Intelligence, to investigate UFOs following several unexplained incidents that have been observed by the U.S. military.
In September, Venus became the most popular planet on Earth when scientists discovered possible traces of the molecule phosphine in the planetundefineds atmosphere. On Earth, phosphine is mostly associated with non-oxygen-breathing bacteria, as well as some human activities. The molecule is produced naturally by gas giants, but thereundefineds no good reason why it should be on Venus, the researchers concluded — unless, perhaps, there is some sort of life breathing it into the planetundefineds mysterious clouds.
NASA stepped in and took the wind out of the story saying that phosphine could very easily be created totally randomly through a number of geological processes that donundefinedt involve life at all.
But while we hunt for alien worlds, are aliens also hunting for us? Thatundefineds the question that motivated an Oct. 20 study in the journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, in which astronomers calculated the number of alien star systems that have a direct line of sight to Earth — and therefore could be watching us right now.
The team calculated that approximately 1,000 star systems within about 300 light-years of Earth could feasibly see our planet as it passes between their location and Earthundefineds sun. Those sky-watching aliens would see our sun dim as Earth passes over it, just as humans have detected thousands of exoplanets by watching for suddenly-dimming stars in the night sky. Whatundefineds more, if those alien astronomers have similar technology to ours, they could even detect traces of methane and oxygen in Earthundefineds atmosphere, which would be potential signs of life, the researchers noted.
President Trump made news once again, this time telling Fox News in an October interview that he would take a undefinedgood, strong lookundefined at whether there are UFOs.
In December, leaked reports from the Pentagonundefineds UFO task force discussed undefinednon-human technology, undefined including an Oct. 2019 email exchange between high-ranking military officials.
In the first few days of 2021 there are already stories that are being reported about scientists tracking signals from space, scientists speaking up about alien proof, and a UFO was sighted over Hawaii that has no explanation,
Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are millisecond-long pulses of radio light that blast through space thousands of times a day. Until recently, nobody had any idea what they were. Could it be aliens, pulsing the jets on their hyper-speed spacecraft? The idea had crossed at least one astronomerundefineds mind. But for better or worse, that idea may be dead after astronomers successfully traced an FRB to a known source in the Milky Way for the first time ever. But according to scientists the source from a dead star –which could mean that the signal very well could have been an SOS or a flash of a civilization that has long since died out.
Avi Leob who made several appearances on Ground Zero spoke of Oumuamua and how it was proof of alien technology. He doubles down on a new book which raised eyebrows about alien life. Leob believes that Oumuamua was an example of some advanced space junk.
The New Year also brought with it the report of a large blue UFO that was sighted over Oahu Hawaii.
Ian Gregor, a spokesperson for The FAA said they received a report from a police station about a possible airplane down it the area. However, the agency said that it did not have any aircraft disappear off the radar nor any reports of overdue or missing aircraft. The blue light, which was described as being larger than a telephone pole, appeared to fall into the ocean. It crashed through the water without making a sound.
Back when I started Ground Zero, I was always thinking in the back of my mind that eventually I would be reporting that the world would have to face the disclosure of extraterrestrial life and that evidence of UFOundefineds would be so overwhelming that governments would have to come clean and report what was really happening out there.
It’s hard to imagine many other times in American history where UFO revelations could be overshadowed by bigger news. However, between the debate over how much stimulus money should go to households, the various looming deadlines on agreement and the ongoing contests of election results, there hasn’t been much said by the mainstream media.
Only a few bones and breadcrumbs that are left for most people and a whole set of facts that we have brought forward in 2020.
Estimating what information will come forward in 6 months, if any, will make its way to the American people. Hopefully by then the distraction of COVID-19 will be over but of course the idea of alien incursion is just one more threat that the powers that be can use to quantify their lust for the New World Order.
